As Technical Project Manager, you will be fully responsible for AC land cable projects (≤ 220 kV) from receipt of the enquiry to handover of the system to the customer. As an "interface manager", you will coordinate all internal and external partners on your own responsibility and simultaneously, supervise several so-called lean projects (reduced complexity) for the markets assigned to you with a total volume of several million EUR with a large scope for decision-making and a wide range of tasks (e.g. design of cable systems, preparation of offers and contracts, claim management, etc.).

You will be responsible for the following aspects: 
You will be the competent contact person for (technical) questions, both remotely and on site with national and international customers and will be responsible for the audit of existing technical solutions for suitability and applicability. Furthermore, you will independently prepare the technical offer, including provision of data sheets, drawings, performance specifications and costs and will manage all aspects of the assigned projects with regard to agreed contractual terms and ensure the achievement of all technical, safety, quality and financial targets. Your agenda will also include the participation in the drafting and negotiation of contracts with customers and subcontractors as well as the coordinating of internal and external services in consultation with the client, subcontractors and internal departments.  Further key tasks are:

  • Organisation and supervision of selection tests in the factory and commissioning tests on the construction site
  • Organisation of the construction site in accordance with valid work safety regulations and ensuring that the cable systems are installed in accordance with technical standards/specifications
  • Maintaining and increasing customer satisfaction through best service throughout all project phases

To connect a greener world, you should have the following skills and experience:
You have a Bachelor or Master degree in electrical engineering preferably with a specialization in power engineering and several years of professional experience in project / site management, ideally high-voltage projects in the German cable market. Furthermore, your are very familiar with engineering and project management methods, processes and tools and have experience in claim management. As a person you have a high level of commitment, flexibility, ability to work in a team, strong customer orientation and communication skills. In addition, your profile rounds off with a strong analytical, structured and solution-oriented mindset. Further important qualifications are: 

  • Personal initiative, strong target and result orientation and "hands-on" mentality
  • Readiness to travel (10-20%), e.g. to construction sites of the client
  • Fluent English and German, both spoken and written, further language skills such as Spanish or French would be an advantage
