Enterprise Risk Manager

NKT is looking for an enterprise risk manager with an international mindset and solid risk management experience. Based in Czech Republic as part of our Risk & Compliance team your focus is to develop and operate the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program to drive greater efficiencies and support senior decision-making. You will be reporting to the Head of Risk & Compliance, who is located in Denmark.

The Position

Your overall goal is to drive an excellent and efficient Enterprise Risk Management program on a day-to-day level across the entire NKT Group, where you will be engaging all key business lines and functions. You are responsible for developing, enhancing and maintaining ERM processes to drive greater efficiencies and support senior decision-making. To succeed, it is also important to support the interface with our Risk Board consisting of senior management with quarterly meetings.

Your tasks include:

  • Driving and maintaining internal risk network across NKT.
  • Stay abreast of developments (internally and externally) that may impact the Company’s risk profile.
  • Plan and facilitate risk workshops and deep-dives to help the business identify risks and opportunities, outcomes and mitigating actions.
  • Promote risk awareness across the business and train and provide guidance to internal risk network and ultimate risk owners regarding implementation of the ERM Instruction.
  • Engaging and collaborating with the compliance part of the Risk & Compliance team to leverage ERM processes in NKT’s compliance activities and processes.
  • Working closely together with the Head of Risk & Compliance.
  • You should expect up to five travel days a year.

To succeed, you much be able to establish and maintain a trustworthy relation to your stakeholders across the business lines and functions and understand the commercial and technical context of their operation.  

Your background

You bring a master’s degree, preferably in Risk Management, Engineering, Finance, Business or related field. You have a minimum of 7-10 years’ corporate experience, including several years dedicated to ERM related work from relevant industries. You like to work independently while at the same time being a team player. You must be fluent in Czech and English. Having worked internationally and having command of additional languages is a plus, but not a prerequisite.

In addition, we also expect:

  • Experience in reporting, presenting and communicating with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to explain complex matters in a simple and understandable manner to stakeholders at all levels and with different backgrounds.
  • Being able to handle and prioritise multiple projects, tasks and processes running simultaneously with a focus on execution.
  • Able to collaborate and create strategic working relationships across professional, cultural and geographical borders.
  • Flexibility, open-mindedness and adaptability when working in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Business acumen: anticipates needs and assesses and manages business risks and organizational dynamics.

You will be based in Kladno, Czech Republic, and report to the Senior Manager, Head of Risk & Compliance, located in Denmark.
