A:  MAIN POSITION CONTENTS

Purpose

  • Mechanical engineering / design for NKT Karlskrona production site.
  • Support project managers with engineering expertise / design.
  • Act as responsible for installation activities within a project.  

Responsibility

  • Mechanical design and functionality of production equipment.
  • General knowledge of mechanical calculation and dimensioning of structures.
  • General knowledge regarding machine directive and CE-marking.

Success criteria

  • Good communication skills, both in direct dialog and in written with all involved, customers/receivers, project members, operators, management, safety delegates etc.
  • Structural and organized.
  • Controlled and calm in stressed situations. Ability to keep a couple of projects running simultaneously.


B:  TASKS

 

Primary tasks

  • Perform and report status of design assignments/projects.
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvements and, when necessary, implement and follow up the improvements.
  • Support project leader and other assignment responsible with design and mechanical expertise within production development, machine equipment and manufacturing process.
  • Produce necessary technical documentation and secure correct archiving.
  • Quality assure his/her own and, when necessary, review other's technical documentation.
  • Create manufacturing orders and perform quality assurance at external manufacturers.
  • Mechanical design according to current internal and external directives and standards.
  • Actively contribute to the updating of our site's Machine Design Process and to work according to this Process.
  • Contribute to our department's internal Operational Development/Continuous Improvement, by actively identifying improvement areas and implement activities and also update and follow our action plan list.
  • Secure his/her own mechanical design expertise by, in consensus with UPTE manager, continuously find time for training, education and development.
  • Always include HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) aspects as early as possible in the design process.
  • When necessary in assignments, produce and follow budget, time- respectively resource plan.
  • Actively contribute to cross functional cooperation.
  • Actively contribute in the cross functional CAD group and also contribute to the maintenance and development of the current CAD-/PDM system.

Experience

  • Previous experience of mechanical design
  • Previous work within NKT is meriting
  • Background from other technical / producing industries is meriting.

Languages

 

  • Swedish
  • English

IT

  • Office, SAP
  • Solidworks / PLM (Windchill) is a requirement.
  • AutoCAD is meriting.
