Position: Creative design support

Reports to: Brand Manager (functional – direct line)

Business Unit: Group Marketing

1. Job summary:

The Creative Design Support has strong graphic design skills, both on classic and digital channels, to support our various graphic design needs. The position supports the Group Marketing as well as other Group functions and BLs with design / layout tasks for all material requiring expert design, based on our visual identity and existing style guide. While reporting to the Brand Manager, the Design Support will closely work with the Design lead and may receive tasks / instructions directly from him/her à let’s discuss the wording.

2. Responsibilities:

  • Support design projects for various print material, including brochures, flyers and other marketing collateral based on NKT VI guidelines and in close cooperation with Brand Manager, Design Lead and requesting stakeholders.
  • Brush up, revitalize and adapt existing marketing collateral
  • Support design effort for all NKT financial publications, including annual and quarterly reports, sustainability report, etc.
  • Provide creative support and material for new marketing activities on all channels
  • Support and eventually lead projects to create layouts and items for digital marketing, e.g. web / SoMe images, banners, sliders, based on stakeholder needs and technical requirements
  • Use existing moving images to create NKT video clips for various marketing purposes
  • Support creation of management presentations (PPT) and key slides
  • Image editing and brush-up for various channels
  • Support maintenance and administration of NKT online styleguide to ensure quality content and adherence to set processes within marketing
  • Provide support for NKT DAM system to ensure high quality of images and collateral in system
  • Advocate NKT corporate design together with our Brand Strategy Manager
  • Based on availability, support maintenance of website with visual elements and insertion of content into CMS system

3. Requirements

Skills and competencies:

  • 2+ years of experience in graphic design within an agency / corporate setting
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud programs, especially InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator
  • Comfortable in supporting both print and digital channels
  • Strong sense of quality, precision and design
  • High degree of creativity paired with meticulous way of working
  • Ability to edit and create moving images (Adobe Premiere Pro) is an asset
  • Experience with CMS systems and web design is an asset
  • Strong MS Office capabilities, particularly in Power Point
  • Comfortable working on international projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to successfully to complete projects on time and with high quality
  • Strong communicator with professional English language skills
  • Team player with positive attitude
  • Willingness to learn and expand skill set
  • Ability to work during European Working hours, for select periods of the year à to be detailed out

Education:

  • University degree in design or similar qualification à This one is a little difficult for me to judge. In Germany, designers not always have a university degree, but have completed a 3 year apprenticeship as “Media Designer”. I think that kind of qualification would be fine as long as the candidate has sufficient job experience. I am not sure what the equivalent would be in India though.
