The focus for the RSM is generating sales and pipeline opportunities for HV and MV Cable Accessories in the Australian Market.
Grow NKT market share in the electrical energy space. The RSM is responsible for growth of existing accounts and to develop new accounts and relationships leading to revenue growth.
The RSM is responsible for identifying and attracting new opportunities and/or projects to increase the customer / market share for NKT and driving the pipeline.
With existing customers, the RSM will be responsible for managing the relationships, including managing offers and contract negotiations and following up on current opportunities or projects.
The RSM will be a key team member for developing and executing the market strategies and plans, customer relationship management as well as promotion activities within the sales team.
The role has national coverage and crosses over into all energy market segments. The RSM will work within the sales team with the goal to collaboratively grow NKT market share
Key Responsibilities
- Understand customers buying cycle / process, customer goals, focus growth segments, market share, priorities and strategies, key stakeholders, and decision makers.
- Market information: markets, market share, competitor SWOT, technologies, trends etc
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, apply consultative selling methodology and leverage these relationships to position NKT as a preferred supplier.
- Maintain ongoing and regular direct contact with key stakeholders.
- Manage opportunities and selling the NKT value proposition.
- Identify and understand current and future customer needs and opportunities to introduce and sell products, services, and solutions to the customer. Promote NKT technologies and product portfolio.
- Proactively address open customer issues, including quality issues until appropriate closed
- Proactively collaborate and coordinate with internal departments.
- Participate in preparation budgets and forecast in conjunction with management.
- Actively monitor & maintain KPIs of customers relative to the performance standards. Proactively promote the value which NKT brings to the customer and work to efficiently service the account.

- Market share gain.
- Obtain & maintain preferred supplier status.
Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or electrical trades background and or cable jointing experience
- Preferable 5 years of experience in marketing & sales of products and solutions.
- Experience with High and Medium Voltage cable accessories is highly preferred
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills are required
- Should be fluent in English comprehension and writing
- Willing to travel within Australia.
