The materials that we use in our products are tested and validated at our own laboratories, in different countries, and under the control of third parties. The laboratories have the capacity and expertise to carry out comprehensive fire and material property tests, thus satisfying the CPR requirements. In addition to the development of new materials, we continuously test our existing products’ properties to ensure that we are offering world-class cables.

Halogen-free is not a requirement under the CPR. But when we talk about fire safety, the most important difference between a halogen-free cable and a cable with PVC is that the halogen-free cables produce significantly fewer harmful substances and less fumes when they burn. Since smoke production and the spread of poisonous particles are two of the criteria in the CPR standard, halogen-free cables have a greater chance of satisfying the requirements.
